In Italian. Scarce edition of Italian Renaissance poet, humanist and aristocrat Count Matteo Maria Boiardo's best known work. Worldcat locates but two copies. "A grandiose poem of chivalry and romance.... [he] was an ideal example of a gifted and accomplished courtier, possessing at the same time a manly heart and deep humanistic learning."-- Wikipedia. Boiardo lived from 1440/1 to 1494 and was Count of Scandiano (now known as Reggio Emilia), with seignorial power over Arceto, Casalgrande, Gesso, and Torricella.
