Orphaned of his mother at the tender age of six, he was raised by a strict Protestant father who disapproved of his literary pursuits. Demonstrating early academic prowess, Leumann graduated from the University of Buenos Aires at seventeen, subsequently embarking on a career as a professor of literature.In 1916, he assumed the role of editor-in-chief for ‘La Nota’, a literary magazine founded by Emin Arslan, marking his initial foray into literary journalism. His literary oeuvre encompasses a diverse range of genres, including poetry, novels, and essays.
