Written from ther canine point of view. § Elizabeth Coatsworth (1893-1986) was an American author, primarily known for her children's literature. Coatsworth's writing career spanned over five decades, during which she published more than 90 books, including children's novels, poetry, and short stories. Her most famous work is "The Cat Who Went to Heaven" (1930), a Newbery Medal-winning children's book that tells the story of a poor artist who adopts a cat and the moral dilemma that arises when he is commissioned to paint a picture of the Buddha. Coatsworth also published several collections of adult poetry and fiction.
