Presumably a unique item thu, in a handsome binding. / "Agustina Palacio de Libarona (1822-unknown) was a Spanish feminist and writer who is known for her contributions to the women's rights movement in Spain. She was born in Bilbao, Spain, and later moved to Madrid, where she became involved in social and political activism. Palacio de Libarona was a vocal advocate for women's education and women's rights, and she wrote extensively on these topics. In 1869, she founded the Women's Association for the Education of Women, which aimed to improve access to education and professional opportunities for women in Spain. Palacio de Libarona also published several books and articles on women's issues, including "La Mujer en España" (Women in Spain), which was one of the first works in Spain to address the status of women in society. She also wrote a biography of the feminist writer Concepción Arenal. Despite her contributions to the women's rights movement, Palacio de Libarona's life and work have been largely overlooked by historians, and very little is known about her after the 1870s."
