A graduate of Iran’s military academy and a gifted mathematician, Roozbeh was drawn early to anti-monarchical and anti-imperialist ideologies. He joined the Tudeh Party of Iran, the country’s primary communist organization, where he became instrumental in establishing a clandestine military network within the armed forces. Through this network, he sought to subvert the royalist command structure and align military loyalty with revolutionary goals.Roozbeh’s commitment to Marxist ideals was absolute—he led an austere life, authored political tracts, and advocated for unwavering ideological discipline. Following the CIA-backed coup of 1953 that overthrew Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh, the Shah’s regime initiated a severe crackdown on leftist elements. Roozbeh went underground but was eventually captured, subjected to a secretive military trial, and executed by firing squad in 1958. Despite his controversial legacy, he is revered by segments of the Iranian opposition as a martyr of principled resistance and remains a potent symbol of revolutionary integrity in the face of authoritarian repression." // Political science Iran; Obedience; Political aspects.Iranl Politics and government; 941–1979; Āthār-i Sīyāsī;
