"Floyd Dell (June 28, 1887 – July 23, 1969) was an American newspaper and magazine editor, literary critic, novelist, playwright, and poet. Dell has been associated with the Chicago Renaissance, a literary movement that took place in Chicago primarily between 1912 and 1925 and encompassed a range of styles and themes. Dell was also known for his association with the bohemian community in New York's Greenwich Village, where he served as the managing editor of the radical magazine "The Masses." His works often explored themes of feminism and social reform, and he was known for his progressive views on women's rights and sexuality. Some of his notable works include the novel "Moon-Calf" and the autobiographical "Homecoming." " ¶
